If one elevates oneself through a significant accomplishment, then it becomes a more beneficial offering for dissolution into emptiness. The yidam, or tutelary deity, is just such a perfected offering. For example, oneself as Chenrezik, a bodhisattva-deity, and fully accomplished Buddha, after meditated upon as nondual compassion, wisdom, and power is the perfect offering for dissolving into emptiness, which is all. One then experiences a nondual clarity and emptiness, engendering the play or switching on of Mahamudra. The latter is the experiencing of reality as it really is in all its intensity in ‘color,’ ‘shapes,’ and the Great Bliss or ecstasy. 

     One’s conventional life, after accomplishing the ordinary things required to survive, coupled with the practice of the six perceptions of giving, moral discipline, diligence, patience, right contemplation, and wisdom, is a suitable offering as well to the lord of wisdom Manjushri, who is none-other than one’s own teaching Guru. 

     These then are the two paths, tantric and sutric, seen as offerings for the dissolution of self-attachment and realizing Buddhahood for the sake of others.

     I feel more like the broadcaster than the broadcast. More the projector than the projected. There’s less distortion in my life right now because I’m doing mostly for others instead of myself. Like teaching Tibetan monks English, and how to translate their Tibetan Buddhist teachings  into it. Not feeling so much distortion as I was while in Cambodian while doing mostly for myself. The strong force in my life is the broadcast vibration with which I’m feeling more at one. Like at a concert when you can’t tell the performers from the performed while their music is fed into the mixer and out from the speakers into the audience. That’s the stronger force however, what’s coming out of the speakers. But if a guitarist stands directly in front and close up to it, feedback distortion occurs. This distortion can be likened to selfhood. That mental distortion separating us from the surrounding broadcast. When we turn away from the speaker altogether and face another Guitarist, beautiful, harmonious music can be made together.  Or several solos at once when each musician is doing their thing, engaging in dissonant jazz. The unplugged guitarist is of course  the sole source and broadcast of the string force, especially if un-amped.  

      Intelligence and mentation is sound, riding as it does on the ot chic air coursing the psychophysical veins and channels of our subtle source. Ironically, all this seems to be happening inside us or we image the subtle body and it’s chakras so. But the experience of such an etheric body is just that, the experienc of ether, now an outdated concept in physics, a supposed medium through which sound and light waves travel, and as well, a muddling of tantric principles where the subtle body airs, veins, and mind that rides on and through them takes place in an extrinsic energy field or medium supporting the physical body. Creating the outer appearance of an aura. Of course, numerous people claim to see these auras of different colored lights and altered atmospheres. But what I’m talking about is a collapse of all that into an unsupported physical body that is a pure projection if mind that when karmically tainted is akin to the distortion of feedback coming out of a previously mixed sound broadcast. Vibratory rates matter, literally becoming matter, through tainted karma—bad intentionality, behavior, and unkindness In every sense—eventually firming selfhood. Within you and without you is a reality unrelated to such impurity. This is what I’m provisionally calling the broadcaster as opposed to the broadcast with its figments of entities and selfhood. 

     But this level of awareness seems to come only after realizing Life is suffering straight across the board. After realizing that, seeing that, and renouncing entirely your own selfish purposes, pick up the banner of other’s pain and do everything possible to alleviate its cause: hatred. greed, and ignorance. Relieve others’  suffering not only for their sake but to permanently ‘void’ any other personal agendas. This then is that peace that brings the bliss taught and embodied by our true guides and protectors.
